Well-established, experienced in the business.

Starting out as exhibitors, we saw the need for better quality home shows in the area, herein, Brilliant Event Planning, Inc. was established in 2009.  We produce some of the largest home improvement and remodeling expos in the Midwest.  As of 2016, we are proud to say we hold seven home expos, the biggest featuring 250 booths.  Our goal is to give homeowners in the Chicagoland suburbs an opportunity to comparison-shop quality local and national contractors suited to their home improvement needs.  We bring in select new vendors each show to keep the consumer experience varied as well as bring back established favorites.  Many loyal attendees and exhibitors return year after year because we foster a positive environment for buying and selling. 

Family-friendly, entertaining environment for attendees.

Our team labors to create something special for attendees.  We also consult and encourage exhibitors to be innovative.  At each show we host a home industry celebrity expert who gives an engaging crowd presentation; furthermore, many of our exhibitors feature live demonstrations.  We put a special emphasis on show appearance with an attractive welcoming table and entrance.  Our superior floor organization makes the venue easy to navigate.  At our shows you will find home improvement and remodeling companies alongside a select mix of vendors and small good makers related to the home that make for a more diverse shopping experience.  For example, you can leave with an estimate on a new kitchen plus a sampling of gourmet barbeque sauces.  Attendees may enter an array of giveaways including: gas cards, local restaurant gift cards, and one special bigger prize.  

Many of our attendees are homeowners who like to bring the whole family along to our weekend events.  For this reason, we maintain a “Kid’s Corner” with tables for coloring, crafts, and feature an inventive balloon artist.  With our attendees’ convenience in mind we choose venues that offer a cafeteria with food for purchase, tables for eating and resting, and abundant parking is always provided free at our events.  To boot, music broadcasts live from our shows via a well-known adult contemporary station.  

Diverse media campaigns and positive testimonials that bring traffic.

We continuously monitor and tweak our advertising efforts to effectively attract homeowners.  Each year we have experienced growth as we round up more exhibitors and attendees.  Our shows are backed by heavy advertising online and in print; via Groupon and direct mail; and on radio and television commercials.  We also work with major newspapers in coordinated campaigns.  Our efforts are well- featured in communities:  we advertise in town newspapers, on public signage, post on local bulletin boards, and representatives attend related trade shows and local events such as farmer’s markets to publicize our shows.  Word-of-mouth is one of the valued ways we bring in attendees as many homeowners have had positive experiences at our shows and pay it back by telling their loved ones and neighbors

In 2016, we will unveil our new social media campaign as well as magazine and newspaper articles and interviews.  Look for more creative marketing as we modernize our company.  Additionally, we work with our exhibitors to encourage marketing of our events through their own social media and advertising campaigns.  It is common for our sponsors to offer back links on their websites.  We always say a successful show is a collaborative effort. 

Support to our vendors throughout the experience.

When it comes to purchasing your space, moving in, as well as any and all questions that arise during the show process, our courteous staff and sales executives are at your service.  As some of the most personable and driven producers in the industry, we value vendor success and happiness.   Our company offer tools and training to exhibitors to help achieve the best results from their booth.  

At the venue you can easily identify us on the floor in visible yellow “staff” shirts.  Our show staff is comprised of individuals with backgrounds in customer service, organizational effectiveness, electrical, and moving-- skills that help to make your experience as smooth as possible.  Vendors are never left to their own devices; we are very much "there” at move-in and during the shows.  Often we provide vendors with coffee, tea, and light fare during morning and afternoon set-up.  As we expand, we will continue to better methods for show production and move-in.
